Playstation's Strategic plan

Business Strategy for sony playstation is diversity. Playstation differentiates its product from other competing consoles such as Microsoft’s Xbox and Nintendo’s Wii U. Its sleek look makes it the most visually attractive system as well as the graphics are better. Currently the PS4 specs make room for faster graphics compare to the Xbox One, combined with Sony's choice in superior system memory.
The easiest way to understand Sony’s position with the PS4 is to review the mistakes it made with its previous console price.  With the Price ranging from $499 to $599, the PS3 was more expensive than both the Xbox 360 ($299-$399) and the Nintendo Wii ($249). This time around, The PS4 price was the more tempting deal at launch: $399 for the console and DualShock 4 controller. Xbox One was more expensive at $499 for the system, Xbox One controller and Kinect.

This holiday, Sony will be releasing the PlayStation TV – which streams the Internet to a video screen just like Roku and Apple TV do with a game controller, memory card, HDMI cable and other goods for $139.99. Much cheaper than the PS4 ($399) or its main competitor, Microsoft’s Xbox One ($499 with Kinect sensors). With the game network, the PlayStation TV will be able to play many titles on any TV.

If Sony’s plan works this winter, it’ll figure out how publishers and developers can make money on their old titles without having to make brand new games.
